Hello, thank you for reading this. My purpose is to prove to all of you who are going through a tough time in life that everything can change really fast. Sorry to be so long but it is just that since I started applying the new way of thinking, everything has become a miracle!

First of all, I want to start with the fact that for more than 2 years I was living in a nightmare. I was being physically and mentally abused by a man I used to live with. He would sometimes beat me really bad and push me to stay home all day long due to his jealousy and mental sickness. Since I had no job and no place to go, it was not that easy to just run away.

Then I read The Secret. The first step was for me to imagine I had a good job in the Finance sector. Something I always dreamed of but was thought nearly impossible as I was a 24 years old graduate with no experience. I thought no one would give me such a job on full time terms, so that I could afford to pay my bills and support my family. I applied for a vacancy I saw online which was exactly what I wanted. I knew the most important thing was to know exactly what you wanted. I cleared my mind and said that I am going to get the job and salary of 1.4K. For reference, in this country the average pay is 600 so this was a very brave dream.

Two months passed by and after the last abuse which sent me to hospital, I left the guy and went to stay at a friend’s place. Then suddenly I got a call from the company asking me to go to an interview. They said that they double checked my CV and decided to give me a chance 2 months later! Everything was fine at the interview and they offered me a full time position at their company. Can you imagine my feelings when the manager asked me if I would be happy with a salary of 1.4K! Not more, not less! I just smiled and agreed.

After getting the dream job I was able to start looking for a nice apartment for myself. I liked one very much but the agent said it was already booked for someone else. Did this stop me? Of course not! In my mind I was already living in this apartment. Two days later the same agent called and asked me if I still wanted the apartment as the owner changed his mind and wanted to give it to me! So I am happily living in this very apartment now!

Then I decided I want a salary increase. Basically I decided to double my salary which was almost impossible for this country. It took me no more than 2 months until my manager texted me to let me know that they decided to double my salary! I am not joking.

The most important thing that happened to me was attracting the best thing in my life, my man. One evening, I just sat down on my couch and made a list of all qualities I wanted. I put down so many things such as vision, character, behavior, habits and wealth, that he would be nearly impossible to find, even in a soap opera! Of course, after all I went through I wanted to have a respectful and gentle man next to me.

The next day a friend of mine called me and asked me if I would go out with a friend of hers who I knew of from many years ago but had never met in person. I said yes, not believing this was the guy, just wanting to have fun and change my “couch based” evenings. Now I am crying as I am writing this because that night I met the love of my life. Not just a temporary passion but the true soulmate of my life, who is everything I could ever ask for. We are together for more than a year now and I have never been so respected and taken care of before.

As the saying goes; ‘There is no elevator to success. You have to take the stairs’. The purpose of the hard times in my life is to make me appreciate the good ones when they come. Do not ever stop believing and working on your dreams.
