I had dropped a year for my medical entrance exam and was preparing from home when everybody else around me was in coaching institutes. I studied for the most part but I was also quite dubious as to how I would manage to get through this exam that scared the crap out of me. Every day I’d visualise getting into my dream college in spite of my negative thoughts. I tried my best to hold on to the vision. My phone background was a collage of me, photoshopped in front of my college. Also I drew the crest of that college and put it in my old lab coat and hung it in front of my bed. I would visualise holding my pen and marking all the right answers and being elated about how well my exam went.

The day of the exam I was calm and optimistic, and gave the exam with a relaxed attitude. I actually knew the majority of the questions by heart as I had practiced most of them. It was one of the easiest papers of my life! Today, I am admitted into the college of my dreams and I scored way better than I had expected. I conquered the biggest fear of my life,which once upon a time literally gave me shivers, clearing the test!

I am just an ordinary girl and if I can do it so can anybody else. Just hold on to your dreams. Pretend if you don’t believe in yourself, because eventually you will.
