My husband has wanted a boat for our whole family to enjoy for many years. He read every magazine on boats for sale, watched fishing/boating shows, he was an expert and in the end knew exactly which boat he wanted.

One Sunday he took us to the boat dealership to sell me on his dream boat. It became my dream too, we agreed to make a deal then and there. Unfortunately the dream was shattered when we were given the price quote as it was $10k more than expected.

Months later we were still looking for ‘our boat’. I hadn’t been made aware of “The Secret” at that stage but I always believed in prayer. One evening while watering the garden I noticed the new moon rising, I walked down to the beach to take in the beautiful sight over the water. While I was there I asked ‘the universe’ specifically for the boat we had seen at the dealership.

Unbeknown to me at the time I had actually asked for a Stabi-Craft 589. The boat we were looking at was a 569.

That evening I emailed the dealership to see if the boat was still available. The return email advised the boat had been sold BUT they had just traded one that we might be interested in. He proceeded to list the boat details as a Stabi-Craft 589XR including a 140hp EFI Yamaha motor with fish finder, GPS, radio etc, etc. My husbands jaw dropped as he read through all the extras he had wanted with his dream boat. And the best part it was in our price range.

We are now proud boat owners who enjoy our beautiful beach side location as often as possible. Our children love watersports, we’ve cruised with dolphins and watched seals play in the water. The fish still elude us but we’re working on that with great enthusiasm.
