Big Hi to Rhonda, The Secret Team and my friends who post their experiences and stories regularly. This is my second time writing an experience which I gotta share because this experience has not only made me firm in my practise of the law but has also made my mom an absolute believer in the LOA.

I came across The Secret in 2008 and had been following it for a majority of times in my life. Right from that time I have been pushing my mom to practise it . Even though she has read all the books, The Secret, The Power and The Magic and always joins me whenever I watch the movie, she has been skeptical about practising it regularly. Since it was difficult to change her mindset, I too, stopped bugging her about it.

My mom took V.R.S from her job last Sept 2012 and after that we had taken a month long visit to our native place where we had just completed construction of our new home. Before going she had made sure that 95% of clearance of all statements, cheques and transactions and some that were just pending because of signature formality. When she went for the remaining collection of cheques her colleagues asked her to apply for TA for the trip so she could it available. Since we had transported many of our house belongings, the bill had amounted to Rs 14000.

My mom wasn’t that interested to put it up, since she knew it would take time for that clearance, as she herself had worked in that department. After lot of thinking and urging, she finally put her claim on Jan 2013. Initially the papers were moving fast and her office people told her she would receive a cheque of Rs 20000. This was in April. We were all shocked since the bill submitted was the 14000. But we were happy and somehow started anticipating it. From April to July we were still in anticipation of the cheque but there was no news of money. When enquired, every time the papers would be stuck with some person who is on leave, or the auditor is busy or some information is missing. By this time we were totally negative towards this situation.

Aug 1st week I asked my mom to make a firm statement that by the end of this month the money will be in her A/C. By this time the auditor started asking for documents and signatures of the company through which we had packed the stuff. When my mom contacted them they too politely started making reasons as to why they can’t give the specified docs and statements. Since my mom personally had handled such a case when she was working, she contacted a higher auditor to confirm the documents needed. He too told her that the docs were essential. So by this time my mom, who didn’t want to claim, but then got enthusiastic after hearing the cheque amount, was completely depressed.

On Wednesday night 21/08/13, I saw her really upset and asked her to visualize that by 31st she will have her cheque. She told me that it cannot be done because she herself knows that without those docs it is impossible. I told her that the worst case scenario is we will receive only 14000 or might just receive our personal travelling expense which comes to around 3500 so what’s big deal?

She accepted it and started visualizing exactly how much she wished to receive and by what date. She also clearly included an sms indicating the payment updation in her a/c during her visualization. To increase her positivity I promised her to give her the blank Magic Cheque.

Next day she was busy and when she came home in the evening she told me her auditor called asking whether she would personally come and collect the cheque or should he deposit it??? I was shocked and the smile on my mother’s face was so big that we were just jumping and laughing.

Now the interesting part is my mom told the auditor that she would personally collect the cheque since she was already outside and she would make a stop at her office, but somehow she couldn’t make that stop and at the end of the day he submitted it. So yes, my mom got the sms as she had visualized!

Also I forgot to take the printout of The Magic cheque, but still, she received her cheque of Rs 20055.

My mom has already started to practise LOA and we have decided whenever we have doubts or confusion we are going to remember Rs20055.
