IndiaJust a girl who needed a win and got one, thanks to gratitude!
Hello All,
I would like to start off expressing my sincere gratitude to Rhonda for revealing to us all this great way to live life!
I have had my ups and downs with the LOA owing to my lack of continuity, belief and commitment. I have started The Magic practices several times, but never got past Day 5 as I would start on a Monday and then forget on the weekend! A month ago, my company basketball team played a tournament and won. One would imagine this would make me happy seeing as I am a part of the team. But my own performance was horrendous. I fumbled the ball, passed poorly, shot horrendously.
All this happened even though I imagined that the tournament would go well and I played excellent. This was due to the sole reason that I had no confidence in what I was imagining and was something I did not believe could happen. I was so demoralized for days on end after my pathetic performance.
Last weekend, however, we played another tournament. The evening before the tourney, I wasn’t even sure if I wanted to play, although my team expected me to! I asked a friend what I should do and she very simply said I should do what makes me happy. I then started thinking about how I feel on the court and how amazing it felt when the ball went in the basket! Swish! This made me want to play, so before I could change my mind again, I made plans with a fellow teammate who lives nearby to go to the venue together. It just felt right!
The morning of the tournament, I woke up feeling super perky. I had been doing The Magic practices for 5 days now and today was day 6. This time around, however, I skipped to one of the later practices: Magnificent Outcomes! And boy was the outcome magnificent!
I asked for 2 magnificent outcomes:
1.That our team wins the tournament.
2.That I play exceptionally well.
We played amazingly well and not only did we win the tournament, but I even won the trophy for the best defensive player! I could not believe it when they announced my name! Never before had I won any individual honors!
This was amazing as my previous performance was as mentioned horrendous, and I am not just being self-deprecating! It really was! With just 6 days of gratitude such a turnaround! I cannot explain how buoyant I was. I played so well and with such confidence! I am sure many more great things are to come in my life now that I have solidified my belief and seen it in my own performance!
Thank you all.
