Last year, I moved to Perth to study with clear skin. However, when I returned from a short visit home, I experienced intense homesickness and depression, which led to a severe breakout. Since July, I’ve tried numerous treatments and facials, used various trusted products, and even experimented with expensive and inexpensive cosmetics, hoping to find a miracle cure for my skin issues. Despite these efforts, my skin has not returned to its flawless state, although it did improve at one point.

This October, with about 40 days left before I went back to Malaysia for 3 months to my lovely family and boyfriend, my face was at its worst. I cried every day and did not even feel excited about going home. All I thought was, how can I ever enjoy life with a face like this? I had learned and read The Secret before I came to Perth. I tried The Secret, The Power, and The Magic, but nothing changed. I was jealous of all the others who managed to gain flawless skin through The Secret.

One day, I came across this story written by XYZ under the title: “Flawless Skin.” He or she wrote it in extreme detail as to what they did. I did the same, but I was frustrated by the lack of results. Then it dawned on me: why am I able to get a perfect slim body so effortlessly, but I cannot do the same for my skin!? How ironic. Then I realized that I kept expecting miracles to happen overnight, and when they did not, I got disappointed and depressed and gave up. Actually, miracles happen, just that my own belief that overnight or quick miracles are impossible is too deeply ingrained in my mind. Seeing as this was what was keeping me off track with The Secret, I decided to persevere.

I contacted a lovely lady on Facebook who wrote her story on The Secret website here. She kindly gave me her FB link and encouraged me. One thing she said that helped me the most was: This thing may take time, but this is the testing time for you. If you keep your faith no matter what happens, your patience and belief in the Universe will be rewarded.

Yes! I shouldn’t give up every few days! What was I thinking? So, I followed exactly what XYZ did again. I wrote on a piece of paper exactly how I wanted my skin to be. I wrote it like a letter to the dear Universe, please give me. . . Then, on the back of the paper, I wrote another letter to the Universe, stating my gratitude to the Universe for granting my wish! I read this every night before I sleep.

Every day, I looked at photos of myself when I had clear skin, and anytime I could look, in the showers, on the bus, and while meditating. Before I went to sleep, I closed my eyes and imagined myself walking around happily with clear skin, people complimenting me and admiring my clear face. I concentrated on myself and my clear skin, letting the Universe know that this was what I wanted; this is what I desired the most. I may have started to get negative at some point during the day, but I started counting my blessing and things I was grateful for.

I would read stories on this site. I would repeatedly say thank you to the Universe for giving me the clear, smooth, flawless skin on my face. I believed that in the next few weeks, my face would get clearer and clearer, and the Universe would make sure my face was all clear and flawless when I was ready to go home in the near future.

When any doubt would come into my head, I would start to concentrate on my clear skin in my mind and give thanks. I stopped looking in the mirror all the time to check my face out. At night, I would only use a simple aloe vera cleanser to clean my face and a white clay mask, both of which I have been using for years. I threw away the rest of the cosmetics that I had bought out of desperation. Every morning, I would wake up and give thanks and love to my face as I washed all the clay mask off, and I did not stare at the mirror while doing so.

I started to change my thoughts properly 40 days before my flight home. Now I only have three days left and my skin is 99% cleared! All that is left is one single small pimple on my forehead! All the stubborn pimples, marks, pimple scars, and red bumps that had been covering my cheeks and forehead are all gone without a trace. My face looks exactly like the face I stare at on my phone all the time. I am so excited, amazed, grateful, and relieved, and I feel like I can jump over volcanoes and dance for a week straight! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!

During this experience, I learned to have complete faith in the Universe, in my own skin, and in my powerful mind. My unwavering faith and belief do not last for just a few days; they are ongoing and strong. I am now excitedly waiting to go home to Malaysia in a couple more days!
