I have been a huge fan of the band Journey for a good while, and for the past few years have so badly wanted to go to one of their concerts, but the thing is they never had any recent concerts close to where I live. Well, about 7 or so months ago when I was really wishing they did, they had a concert right by me that I really wanted to go to, but the tickets were loads of money I didn’t have. I knew The Secret but for whatever stupid reason, didn’t apply it to get the tickets and sadly missed a great concert.

BUT anyhow, in about 3 months from now they’re having another concert in the exact same place as last time. 2 days ago I heard from my friend that they were giving out free Journey tickets on the radio, and it was a radio station I always listen to. I was so happy. I spent the next 2 days trying to win, but failed each and every time, and almost just gave up. I wanted the tickets soo bad, and tried my hardest to stay positive and telling myself I would win, but deep down I was confirming to myself, “I’ve tried like 12 times, and I haven’t won.” Maybe The Secret just doesn’t work and it’s made up crap.”

But I sat there later that night, and thought about how The Secret has worked unexplainable miracles before for me. Even just a couple weeks ago The Secret worked for me to do the number one thing on my bucketlist. I then told myself I just needed to visualize and know that I’ll win, and try again tomorrow since they were still offering more tickets. I just needed to be more dedicated and want it more, try harder. I visualized before I went to sleep and when I woke up.

I woke up and told everyone at school “I’m gonna win these tickets today. You just watch.” And then I got home, tried it again, the phone rang. I got an answer. I was supposed to be the 12th caller. I got a little scared and thought negative thoughts suddenly before I rang. 🙁 Sadly, I was the 11th caller… I was so dissapointed. I could have died, but then I told myself that if I could get that close, with all of the thousands of people calling, I can win. I pulled out my license and social security card to get have my info ready, and I even typed a text saying I won and got ready to send it, and even pulled out my bucketlist and a pen getting ready to cross out “Win concert tickets on the radio” off. I kept saying in my mind “thank you for the Journey tickets”. I told everyone around me I would win. I truly as Journey always said… Didn’t Stop Believin’.

Well, about an hour later when it came time to call and try again I truly knew in my heart I would win this time, I could hear my heart beat I was so excited.. and sure enough I WON! I was so happy that I told the radio guy on the phone I loved him. I’m still smiling now. My whole life, before I knew The Secret I ALWAYS tried winning all kinds of things like this, and never did once. But now that I know that you have to truly convince yourself you’ll win, I look forward to winning more things! 🙂
