When I was 5 I was raped by 19 year old neighbor. Mother said it was my fault and being very young, I believed her. She wanted nothing to do with me. I was basically raised by my dad, brother, and sister. I was an A student from the 1st to the 9th grade, and I studied Piano and Voice. I rarely played outside but I practiced music.

I graduated High School in 1965 and went to college from 1965 to 1967. I dropped out and got married to a man 12 years my senior! I was in an abusive relationship for 28 years. I had a son in 1971 and divorced in 1994.

Now my life begins! I returned to college and picked up an Associate’s degree; a Bachelor’s and a Master’s degree! I have 20 credits towards a Doctorate degree but I stopped! I dedicated my time to helping battered women and at risk children and kids coming out of Foster Care homes. Helping battered women also helped me recover. Helping kids in Foster Care showed me how kids should be raised, loved, and nurtured. I have 20 years in Human Services, and I also worked 5 years with adults with disabilities. I felt I had something to offer others since I didn’t receive it and I could empathize with them. My foster daughters were in church youth groups and loved singing and hearing God’s word. I started a Women’s Group to talk to and aid women being abused. I loved singing because it made me feel good. I started a Nursing Home Ministry and we ministered at 6 nursing homes a month. It is really awesome to hear the elderly sing those old songs they remember from their younger days! My passion is helping others.

My best friend introduced me to The Secret! It was like nothing I had ever read! It had so much good information and it really makes you think! Because of The Secret, my entire life has changed and I want more changes! I am listening to The Greatest Secret” on audiobooks! I hope I will always be happy and full of love and joy!
