I have always lived in a positive frame of mind. It was not until I read The Secret that I realised I was performing much of what was written in the book without knowing it.

I have my own business, a great wife & kids and a pretty good life. My daughter’s birthday was coming up. She put a camera and board game (amongst other things) on a birthday wish list. I had read about 80% of the book and gave it a try.

As I was driving to town to buy some things I focused on happiness, joy, thankfulness and that I had already received these presents. I talked to a salesman about a camera. The one he recommended was $209.00, much more than I intended to spend but after visiting another store, felt it was the right one to buy.

As I walked out of a different shop I thought of a club across the road where my Uncle & I had won some money on a poker machine. I walked up to the same machine and won $250.00. I went back to the shop and the salesman said I could have the camera for $185.00. I bought the camera and went to the game shop just to check the price of the board game. It was $65.00. I had won exactly the amount of the two gifts.

I came home and told my wife who was sceptical the night before. After I told her about the win and the price of the gifts she was impressed. We now have brochures for a new car. I will keep you posted.
