IndiaI am a person who is truly blessed to have a wonderful family, friends, a beautiful childhood and an amazing life.
To all the great people out there, the LOA is very true. It is the essence of our life. It is proof that the map of our life is mostly drawn by ourselves with our predominant thoughts, words and deeds.
My story happened over time. During my school days, I used to see this book ‘The Secret’ in the bookstores and I was drawn to it. But somehow, circumstances did not allow me to buy the book.
Fast forward 14 years. I graduated from medical college. I was working as a junior resident in a hospital. I was on duty 24/7 with only a few days of leave, and was quite stressed. I had a decent salary but didn’t have enough time to study for my post graduate entrance exams. My father, who was working abroad, suddenly lost his job during this period and had to return. So basically, our family had no income at that point of time. I wanted to quit my current job and start preparing for the entrance exam in a coaching institute, but I didn’t want to burden my family with the expenses as they had to take care of my brother’s college education as well. Our family was very depressed with the current state of affairs.
That was when I came across ‘The Secret’ yet again when I went to a bookstore. I had the strong urge to read it. I bought and read the book. I bought the rest of the series. I also asked my parents and brother to read the book. I practised ‘The Magic’ daily. Gratitude was my top priority. I wrote down and began appreciating the good things about my current job and I was grateful for it. I began visualising a job that would be less stressful, more lucrative and one that would give me more time for studies.
Three months passed by. One day, my roommate asked me if I could take up night duty in the casualty of a nearby hospital, as the duty doctor was away. I readily agreed. Work conditions were good. The work was based on daily wages and I got an amount at the end of my duty, which was more than my current daily salary. The staff said that they would call me if they needed a duty doctor. I was overjoyed. I took this as a sign and left my current job. I got more night duty jobs, around 3 or 4 nights per week and could study the rest of the days. I also got more money than I did in the previous job! I never forgot to be grateful for all this as my job was exactly what I had asked for from the Universe. I worked and got enough of money to cover all the expenses for my entrance exam prep course. I studied for one year and I gave the exam in the beginning of this year.
I àm so grateful for all that has happened and it’s truly magical. Magic Dust on all who have helped me in the process! I still practice ‘The Magic’ and reread the books when I get time. I visit this site almost every day and read the beautiful stories here for more inspiration.
Thank you for this opportunity to write my story. I know I will come back to write more stories!! A big thank you to Ms. Rhonda Byrne and her team for helping us immensely to make our lives better. Thank you Universe!!
