For the last 10 years, I had been stuck in a position at my company, feeling very unappreciated and very unmotivated. For the last 5 years, I had been applying for other jobs but had not been fruitful.

I stumbled upon The Secret Super App after a friend kept mentioning The Secret and urging me to read it. I kept applying even more vigorously for jobs this year, but I kept getting closed doors. Eventually, with the last application, I just prayed and said, “God, if it is meant for me, then open this door. If not, then send me a sign, but when you are ready to open the door that is meant for me, let me know.” I left it at that and kept practicing my gratitude and reading my affirmations.

Two days later I got the sign that the job was not meant for me, and so I carried on. The following Monday I got a message from someone I had met 2 years before at a job interview. Her company was looking for someone and she thought about me. I thought, ok, why not? Then I sent my resume. That Thursday I got a call to come to meet the CEO and HR for an informal chat. When I got there on Tuesday, there was someone I knew from primary school, the CEO!! By the end of our chat, they had made it clear the job was mine if I wanted it. And a week later I got their formal offer, which I accepted.

Looking back I remembered asking for an opportunity or job to come my way and it did but when I did not expect it at all.
