All this in a year!

Kingston, MA25 year old homeowner with very exciting things going on!
My story began about a year and a half ago, when my friend Laura started sharing dreams and “Ra isims” with all of us. She started talking to me about how we can have everything we set our minds to. I believed it, but I had not yet put it into practice.
In the Spring of 2007, I was working a dead end job, broke, and still pounding away at college classes. I happened upon The Secret while at Walmart in May. A woman at the book rack recommended it. I read a chapter right there, and was hooked.
I told my then boyfriend about it, and started talking some of my dreams and aspirations out loud after reading pieces of the book. I started picturing what I wanted to do with life, which I know involved TV in some way, and started to imagine getting a job at a TV station. I also wrote myself a blank check for $50,000, and imagined that it would happen by the end of the year.
I’ll admit, it takes a lot to keep my stubborn mind focused, but not two days after I finished the book, I received an email about an internship at one of the premier television stations in Boston. Funnily enough, even though the internship posted had nothing to do with what I wanted to be doing (I didn’t realize this when I applied), I ended up scoring an internship doing exactly what I had hoped for.
Then, come July, I got word that a great job would be opening up with great benefits. I took the job, not in TV, and started in August when my internship was over.
By September, I received a call from the station I had interned for, offering me a part time position.
By October, I had surpassed the $50,000 mark when the bank offered to lend us the amount for our mortgage – and I got engaged!! In December, I finally earned my bachelor’s degree!
Now, I sit here a year later, and I can’t believe all the blessings I have had in my life this past year! I know, because of The Secret, and my deepened faith, that my life will be abundantly blessed!
