A penny for my troubles…
Submitted by: Johanne
New Brunswick CanadaOften a skeptic, but now a believer!
I bought the book when it first came out. It sat on the bookshelf for almost a year. I finally picked it up not long ago and started reading.
I decided to start visualizing a few things to “test” the book and its teachings. Well, I have to say I was more than surprised.
I asked for something that seemed almost impossible the first time: A parking space at my doctor’s office at noon. Highly improbable really… Sure enough there it was, waiting for me. Coincidence I thought… (Ms. Skeptic)
So the following day I began visualizing a 1978 penny. Why? I have no idea. It was the first thing that popped into my head so I went with it. I pay for everything with debit/plastic. I carry cash very seldomly, so the chances of getting said penny where slim, or so I believed.
Every day, I thought about my penny and every night I pictured the 78 penny in my mind. Someone was going to hand it to me. I started getting excited any time I was going to pay for something with cash, and I would immediately examine all the pennies I received, not once every questioning or feeling let down. I KNEW I was going to receive the penny, and soon.
It happened a few weeks later. I received a phone call from our security team in our building that they were trying to get a hold of someone else (a coworker) but she was not in yet, so they called me. I was really busy and really should have said I couldn’t help, however against my better judgment I said I would. I went down to the co-worker’s office and waited for the maintenance guy to finish doing what he was there to accomplish. The co-worker arrived just as he was finishing up and as I stood up to leave, she apologized and thanked me profusely for stepping up for her. As she was talking I noticed there was a penny on her book case and she saw I was staring at it. Here, she said, as she grabbed it and put it in my hand, I hope it’s a lucky penny.
I opened my hand, and there, to my complete excitement and joy, was my 1978 penny.
I carry it around with me in my left pocket every day and I use it as one of my Secret shifters.
I never knew something so worthless could end up being so priceless.
I have finished the book and I now have a very nice and full visualization board with all my desires! Thanks so much for bringing the Secret in my life. It has made all the difference in who I am becoming and who I will be.
