I have always been told by my mother that, “Your thoughts create your reality, J.” But it really hit me when I saw The Secret. I was awakened to the possibility that destiny is a choice, not chosen. I was so moved to realize that I can create the life I want!

So I have been using the Secret for a few years now, and I was telling my skeptical friend about it and she kinda laughed it off. So I shared a story that I read here, about a person who “tested” the Secret by asking for a 1984 penny. And they, of course, manifested a 1984 penny while telling a friend about The Secret. She laughed it off again, though, and asked me to run to her car to get some change for the store cash drawer. I ran to her car, grabbed some change out of the ashtray, and in my hand were several coins. I just grabbed a penny to see what year it was. I picked it up and looked at it, and it was 1984! I was shocked, and then I realized it was stuck to another penny, and that was a 1984 one too! I was shocked and ran in and told my friend. She was sold on the idea then.

We now have our 1984 pennies framed to remind us of the power of the Secret. And once in a while I check pennies for fun, and they are always various years. But yesterday I was at school for a very long day and I was tired and overwhelmed. A penny fell out of my bag on to my work, and it was a 1984! It made me smile, and I feel like it was the little encouragement I needed to stay upbeat and continue with my long night.
