I have been wanting to write this piece for a long time and now that everything in my life has fallen into place, there can not possibly be a better time than now.

For most of my life, I had just been an average and timid. I was not really the kind of kid that makes jaws drop as he walks into the room, at least not during the first 16 years of my life. I found out about The Secret when I was 18 but without even realizing it, I had been applying the law of attraction and the visualization exercise without even knowing I was doing it.

When I was in 7th grade I remember seeing this natural phenomenon called the Aurora Borealis in an Encyclopedia. It was by far the most fascinating thing that I had ever read about. I remember that I told myself, “I don’t know how or when, but I am going to see the Aurora lights before I die.”. I was just behaving like any impulsive teenager but what I felt about the Aurora was not so impulsive. No, it was an intense passion and I had full blind faith that somehow I would see it one day.

Fast forward 10 years later. We have this soon to be college graduate, who has 3 job offers to choose from but does not truly want to work. I still remember the day my friend Rhea met me for lunch in our basket ball court. She told me about this organization that sends volunteers abroad for a work camp. But there is a catch. You have got to pay for your own travel and VISA expenses. 

Side note: I come from a lower middle class family. I did not let that stop me from getting in touch with the organization and finding out about not one, but two programs to Iceland and France. Once I found the way, everything else just became blind faith that somehow things will work out.

I woke up every day just thinking about Iceland and imagining myself high up in the mountains, trekking every single day. So in the month of May I graduated with a Business degree and two weeks later, I am on my way to Iceland.

These last 4 months have reinstalled my faith in The Secret. During every step on the way, the odds were always stacked up against me. Often it would look like I would not make it, but time and again, miracles unfolded on the path that I walked. So I am beyond grateful for what I have been given and for what is in store for me in the new future.

Always remember this, never stop believing. Your dreams which truly resonate with your heart and mind will always come true. You have got the Universe by your side and that is all you need.
