My father had passed and my mother’s need for attention was draining the life out of me. My apartment was small, my marriage was failing miserably, my job had become routine and dull. It seemed like my sons would never settle down and get married and/or give me grandchildren. There was no joy and passion in my life. I was an unhappy mess. That is where I was when I first started reading The Secret eight years ago.

The Secret reminded me that “You are today where your thoughts have brought you; You will be tomorrow where your thoughts take you”. I stopped complaining and started being thankful for all that I had. From that point on, everything in my life began to line up and fall in place.

My oldest sister took over the care of our mother within weeks of my reading the book. My husband and I moved into a cute townhouse a few months later where we worked on our relationship. During our time in the townhouse our love and respect for each other grew into an everlasting friendship.

I moved by myself across country to a new spacious three bedroom house with a pool in Scottsdale Arizona several years later. I love my new home. I requested and accepted a job transfer to San Francisco where I traveled all over the world for work. My husband and I split up, but again we are best friends and happier. I’ve met a man who is now the love of my life. He has brought me more joy and passion than I can handle. My sons are happily married and I have five beautiful grandchildren under 4 years old. Since the day I read that book something wonderful seemed to be happening every month.

The Secret is no joke, it’s real. The law of attraction is always working. Once I recognized that the reality of my life was being ordered by my thoughts, I got busy thinking wonderful thoughts.
