The Secret of Peter Pan

Almost two months ago I got accepted into the Film program at The University of Texas at Austin, but ever since I haven’t really attracted anything that I want back into my life. You see, my ex girlfriend and I broke up a little bit before I got accepted into UT. So I’ve been constantly trying to control my thoughts and get back on track with God and the Universe. I’ve updated my vision board with pictures of my soul mate, my dream house, movie directors, and my movie projects; but it wasn’t until yesterday that the Law of Attraction really started to work.
About two to three days ago I was in the shower and all of a sudden I felt like watching my favorite childhood movies that Id watched growing up as a kid: Hook (Peter Pan) and Rookie of the Year. Now I have these movies on VHS but my VCR is missed up so I didn’t want to watch them and get the tape eaten up (plus their packed up to take to take to Austin). So I thought maybe I could buy them on DVD before I move to Austin in a couple of days, but I really don’t have the money. So the thought went quickly out of my mind and I moved on to other thoughts. Well last night as I was packing up some more boxes I felt like turning on the TV, instead of watching The Secret like I have been during the week, and to my surprise Hook (the movie with Robin Williams and Dustin Hoffman) was on. I was like, Wow that’s pretty cool, I just thought about this movie the other day. So I started to watch it. Well later on I started feeling down about my life, so I switched back to The Secret hoping for some positive inspiration. And as I did that I put a wish out to the Universe saying that I want to see Hook and Rookie of the Year again. I checked on IMDB.com that night and saw that that day was going to be the only day that Hook was playing on TV, so I figured Id see it next time.
Well when I got up this morning my electricity was off, and I couldn’t really do anything. So I decided to go back to sleep until it came back on and when it did, I turned on the TV and BOOM there was Robin Williams fighting Dustin Hoffman as Peter Pan and Captain Hook. I was amazed, IMDB said it wasn’t coming back on. So I turned the guide on (to check for others times that it would be on) and right after that movie Rookie of the Year was coming on! I now understand the Law of Attraction; I now understand everything that John Assaraf, Jack Canfield, and Bob Proctor, etc. said from The Secret.
What was even more amazing was I discovered The Secret within the movie Hook. In The Secret our teachers said to think happy thoughts to lift ourselves up in order to attract what we want in life, just like Robin Williams had to do to fly. Hold on to that happy thought and lift yourself up. Later on in the movie when Captain Hook stabbed Rufio, Rufio told Robin Williams “You know what I wish…I wish that I had a dad like you.” He made a wish to the Universe. Then about five minutes later, when Robin Williams is losing to Dustin Hoffman, the lost boys and his children tell him that they believe in him and he started believing in himself and stared winning. Also when Tinkerbell says whenever there is someone who says that they don’t believe in fairy’s there is a fairy that falls down dead. So I say, “Whenever you don’t believe in yourself youre not only killing your wish but killing a part of you.” But my favorite line from the movie is when Grandma Wendy says “There is only one rule while you stay in my house, don’t grow up, stop this very instant.” The reason this is my favorite line is because people who don’t believe in the Secret (and in themselves) grow up. They say (and I’m quoting my dad), “Oh thats nice, but I’m a realist.” People who grow up (to me) focus all their energy on their current reality. Like Robin Williams did in the movie with his job. People who grow up forget how to dream. They don’t remember what its like to be that little kid inside of themselves and say, I can be Peter Pan, I can be John Wayne, I can be anything I want to be.
So for whoever is reading this right now, believe in yourself. Let the little kid come out in you. Dreams do come true, the law of attraction is working for you right now. Stop… think of a childhood moment… you’ve had this feeling of believing in yourself all along. Never grow apart from the kid like feelings inside of you…
