People are always amazed when I tell them that I never get sick. Invariably they list reasons why they are different than me and do get sick: poor immune system, sick as a child, poor health, etc. I tell them the only difference between us is that they believe they can get sick and I don’t.

I used to get sick with a cold or sore throat a few times a year. About 15 years ago I said, “Enough!” and something clicked in my head. It was like a force shield coming down around my body. I KNEW I would never get a cold or sore throat again. Five years later I got the flu – for the last time. Again, something clicked in my head and another force shield came down. Since then I have been around sick people… snotting, sneezing, coughing, dripping, you name it, and I can feel my force shield in place. I KNOW that nothing, no germs, no virus, can get through my shield, and nothing ever does.

Several years ago I started to get some cold-like symptoms that all told would last over a month. I knew it wasn’t a cold, because my force shield was in place. It took a couple years to figure out the symptoms were related to an allergen, and it came twice a year at the first spring thaw and in autumn after the leaves fell. It was so frustrating. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn’t get a force shield in place – until I read The Secret.

Last year I had three allergy episodes (one from being on a plane), and something in my head said, “If you know why this is happening, then you’ll be able to get the force shield in place.”

In August I discovered The Secret book. I was particularly interested in the section on The Secret to Health, because it explained what I had done all those years ago to create my health force shield. Too cool! After reading the book, I decided not to go to a medical doctor (as people had suggested) to find out the cause of my allergy, because I was afraid I’d believe what he or she would tell me and I would never be free of my allergy!

A month later my husband and I were hauling old lumber from my parent’s home in our van, and the symptoms came. I wanted to scream out of frustration, but I remained calm, and using the principles of The Secret, I asked the Universe to discover the cause of the allergy. I believed that it would come to me, and I let the Universe do the work.

My husband suggested we stop off at a coop on the way home for a homeopathic remedy. I instinctively grabbed one for Mold, and read the label. There was something listed called Aspergillus, with an explanation: “Aspergillus is a common mold found in wet climates, on wood, and is a primary decomposer of fallen leaves and vegetation.” Bingo! The Universe answered my wish. Since I already had the symptoms, I bought the homeopathic treatment, but in my mind something clicked, and a force shield fell into place. I KNEW I would never be affected by this allergen again.

And I haven’t! I made it through last autumn when the leaves fell and this spring thaw and nothing. And I am so grateful to The Secret for helping me not only to find the cause of my allergy, but also to understand what I have been doing all those years. Thank you!!!
