Bangalore, IndiaSo much to dream, so little time!
The Secret was not something I would really believe in until something manifests. Something truly incredible. A few months ago, I had to start looking for an internship at a design studio. After applying to 15 plus places and not receiving any replies, I decided to give up hope. Suddenly, this feeling of optimism just floods me and I knew that someone, somewhere, was writing a mail to me, accepting me as an intern. So I immediately made a list of the things I’d like to expect from the company. That very evening, I get a mail from a company I don’t even remember applying to, saying that I have been shortlisted and I have to complete an assignment for the next round.
After completing the assignment, I thought of something crazy. I sent a congratulatory mail to myself on behalf of the studio and made it my mobile wall paper. Each time I saw it, there was unquestionable faith and gratitude. Two days later, I actually got in. Best part? The studio is everything and more than what I listed. Yay!
This isn’t even the tip of the iceberg.
Last month, I had to travel to Pune for some work and fly back the same evening. After spending a wonderful day, I head to the airport and proceed to remove my wallet to show my ID card at the gate. Turns out, I lost my wallet that had my ID card, money and debit card, and the flight was leaving in an hour. How I managed to enter the airport and get back home is a story for another day but the disappointment of losing the wallet left me gutted.
I’d briefly read The Magic a few days before this incident where I suddenly remembered reading how Mrs. Byrne’s daughter miraculously managed to get her wallet back and that’s exactly what I decided to do as well.
So the next day, I wrote on a small post-it that in a few hours, someone from Pune will give me a call asking about where and how to return my wallet and that’s exactly what happened. I got back my wallet intact which almost never happens! Double yay! If this didn’t reaffirm my faith, I don’t know what would.
Thank you, Rhonda Byrne and the entire team. You are changing the world, one person at a time! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
