AND IT HAPPENED…

Hi believers!

The stories I read daily in this website are of tremendous help in uplifting my spirits. There were several instances when I thought I could no longer deal with fear and pressures but knowing that there are a number of people who have greater misery than my own but who were able to rise up successfully through a change of attitude – this is worth thanking for. This personal feeling urged me to continuously post my experiences because no matter how small they may be, they could be significant in inspiring people to believe in the beauty and goodness of life. 2012 was a challenging year. Month after month, my boyfriend and I went through a pressing situation of growing our business and paying for our debts because we have no capital of our own to finance the operation. The interests of the debts are astounding. Sometimes, we felt our enthusiasm fading because we could not enjoy the fruit of our labor, they all went to debt payments.

My boyfriend, being my business partner, constantly complained of the situation and I could not argue with him. We were not able to enjoy our earnings, not even treated ourselves to our much-longed travels and relaxations despite working a lot. For his every complaint, I would patiently show him the price of our sacrifices. That from nothing, we were able to put up a small business, rent in a nice, expansive building where our products are located.

In order to direct full focus on the business and in order to pacify moral issues with parents and relatives, we decided to get married. Again, the issue on money to cater for wedding expenses was on the rise. But we were determined. Each day, I would kneel to ask God for help. We exhausted all means to realize the wedding. Not once did I feel frustrated, running short of cash and time. Adding to the pressure was the high expectations my parents and friends had on me especially in terms of my special day. For a perfectionist, demanding woman like me who waited too long and vowed of having a dream wedding, I should have been discouraged of the situation but I chose not to dwell on the lack and kept my gaze on the goal. Girly fancies were gone, we did the best we could, planned and acted out. In 2months time, we held a simple wedding by the lake and it was perfect!

Now, we are living and growing together, happily expecting the daily goodness of life. In all the difficulties we have surmounted, I learned the truth that by aligning yourself to the right motives and by keeping the right attitude, God, with the vastness of His universe, will cause all possibilities to take shape in order to provide the desire of your heart.
