I found ‘The Law of Attraction’.
Submitted by: Gill H.
Hobart, TasmaniaI am a mother of 3, grandmother of 5. Separated from my marriage. I work in the Nursing Industry and also a student at University (Utas). I am studying Bachelor of Arts and one of my subjects is Philosophy (Truth, Mind and Language World).
I came across this book called The Secret. I knew it belonged to one of my girls and I placed it on the bookshelf so they could find it. It sat there for quite a long time. My marriage fell apart, my children were living their own lives and I was all by myself… so I decided to read a book, had no idea what book to read and then for some reason I picked up The Secret. Then I started to read it, no idea where this book was heading. Anyway after much reading, I couldn’t put this book down. Halfway through, I began to sob and sob. I realised I had attracted depression through the breakdown of my marriage and my children hurting.
So I decided to look at what I could do to pull me out of this depression. And the ‘Law of Attraction’ began to take it’s place when I refused to accept depression any longer. I thought of only good things and visualised the abundance of all the good things that will come my way. My husband and I are now good friends, I have a new partner who is absolutely fantastic to me. My children are doing alright, though they would probably want their parents back together and for all of us to be a happy family. I’m now at University and I am still receiving good things. I love saying ‘My thoughts are my things’. I am on the path that is right for me.
Thank you to my daughter for leaving this book laying around the house for me to read. Whether you had different ideas about it or you heard of it and decided to buy it, you did well leaving it for your mother to read. I have sent many messages out to the ‘Universe’ and I have received. Again, ‘My thoughts are my things’.
