Before I knew about The Secret, I knew The Secret! I knew by thinking about something, believing in something and visualizing something I would be able to get it. A Persian saying, “If you keep on repeating and thinking about something, you will make it happen”.

I prayed day after day, for my perfect partner. I was alone, I was unhappy and I knew despite my age I wanted a perfect partner. I kept writing down the traits that I wanted in my partner both realistically and idealistically at least once a month (later on when I bought The Secret, the visualizing chapter made the most sense to me).I learned I have to be happy with my own life and be thankful for what I have in order to be able to get more (the gratitude chapter).

Within a year I had found my perfect partner, within 8 months I was engaged and right after my engagement my mother bought me The Secret on book and CD. After listening to it I was stunned. The Secret was what I was doing and it had given me my most precious partner.

When people mention that religions were based on The Secret you better believe it.
At least gratitude has been mentioned in every God based religion because you always thank God……in other words the universe and you unconsciously cheer up! You get in a better mood and become more patient and start to think happy, think POSITIVELY which is what The Secret is all about.

Anyway back to my story. I got engaged to an American man and in order to be able to get married we had to apply for a fiancé visa. We sent our visa package on June 17th and most couples usually get their Notice of action within the first week but not us? We waited one month and still no response. I started to doubt that they have even received our package. The feeling of failure was too hard for me to handle so I turned to my beloved Secret. It is a habit of mine to listen to audio books right before sleep in bed and that night it was The Secret’s turn. I kept thinking how receiving a notice of action would change me and my partner’s mood, life and view. I also set myself a deadline. I said, “I AM GOING TO GET MY NOTICE OF ACTION WITHIN MAXIMUM TWO WEEKS”. I believed in it and I imagined how things would move forward from there.

The next morning when I woke up I found out that my partner had received our notice of action! I couldn’t believe my eyes. Within a night from believing, visualizing and thinking, I got what I wanted!

Let’s just say I am a complete believer now.

The Secret has given me my dream life.
