I am a 21 year old college student who has so far lived what more of my peers call, a boring life. I don’t smoke, I don’t drink and fun for me is an evening in my garden with my closest friends talking about the latest book I read! Even so, I believe my life is nothing short of an adventure, always exciting and filled with new challenges and opportunities.

During my undergraduate college years, I had set myself the goal of making it to one of the world’s top universities for my Masters. I spent sleepless nights working on my applications. Finally, after a grueling effort, I sent out applications to 6 top rated universities. Months went by and I hadn’t heard back from any university. Then I got a response from one, I was rejected. After one week the second replied and I was again rejected! I was so disappointed! I started feeling so worthless and my confidence was shaken. Things didn’t seem like they would improve. I got another rejection letter. Then another. And then another! I was completely shattered. I had given up all hope of getting into any university this year.

One night I lay thinking, what if I send out a wish to the Universe that I really want to get into this university and I wholeheartedly see myself there this year? I mean, things couldn’t get any worse, could they? So what if this was my chance to ask something from the Universe?

The next two weeks I did things that made me believe this wish. I started shopping, I set the university picture as my desktop background and I even drew a little ‘me’ next to it.  I checked accommodations there. And you know what? In no time I got an email saying “Congratulations! You have been offered a place at XXX” This was a dream come true!! I thanked the Universe!!! I had tears of joy thanking every person who helped me on this path! And you know what else? I got a full scholarship!!

The Secret has taught me to believe in myself and fully explore life!!! I couldn’t be more happy and grateful!! Thank you, thank you, thank you to the Universe, to The Secret and to Rhonda!!
