I came across The Secret a couple of years back, and I’ve been using it off and on. I had often been able to manifest a few things every now and then, but being the skeptic that I am, I always doubted if the manifestations were the result of the Law of Attraction or mere coincidences. I am a very strong advocate of scientific reasoning, and since there is no scientific evidence for the Law of attraction I was always skeptical about how much faith to put into this.

So this time I decided I would try to manifest something that would convince me beyond doubt that LOA works.

I didn’t want to attract any objects cause I’ve tried attracting a cup of coffee or pizza before, and it worked, but the way it manifested always left me with some doubt about whether it was the work of LOA or not.

So for some reason I decided to attract a spider. Don’t ask me why! I just did. So I pictured a specific spider which would be small and brown with black spots.
Now let me point out that there are no spiders where I live, due to stringent pest-control measures. In fact, the last time I remember seeing a spider would have been like 8-9 months ago.

So I started visualizing, seeing this spider and feeling happy. Let me add here that I had been having a hard time the last few months, because I had a break-up and my grades had not been very good, and a few other things, to. So I have been feeling really sad.

So then a week passed since I tried to attract a spider, and nothing happened. I would walk around the campus staring at the walls and corners trying to see if there was a spider. So once again, I started having doubts if this works or not. But I tried to stay positive and kept believing that the spider would eventually come. I read The Secret again, and there was a story about some woman who tried to attract a flower and eventually found it after 2 weeks. So I thought, well, it’s only been a week since I asked, so I don’t need to give up hope.

Now for the most interesting part. After a week or so, I got a mail from one of my Professors. He liked one of the case studies I had made a few months back and he wanted me to present it in front of some industry experts. I was feeling so excited, I wanted to run around. I got up from my chair and walked out of the room, because I was just too excited to be able to sit. So I took a short walk thinking about the great news and feeling happy. After a couple of minutes I walked back into my room, and was about to get back to my desk when something on the wall caught my eye.

Guess what it was?

Of course yes, a spider!!!! Exactly the way I had pictured it!

This is one of the best experiences I have had with The Secret. I mean the timing was just so incredible. I had been visualizing for days and nothing happened. And the moment my energy levels shifted and I started feeling positive emotions, it manifested! If this isn’t sheer magic, I don’t know what is!!

I think this experience has taught me how important it is to “feel” right. All the other techniques like visualization and all, are great, but if you are feeling right, the universe just works with magical speed!
