Several years back now, I inadvertently did the unthinkable, I lost my wedding band. At first, I thought I lost it in another state and I would check beneath the bed there every time we visited there. I had developed a bad habit of changing the ring from my ring finger to my pinky. I guess I forgot that I did not have it on the tighter finger, and then it was gone. It was gone for maybe a couple of years, but I asked God to return it to me, and then I let it go. I did not even look for it anymore after a while. I really just believed that I would see it again.

One day I was home in Northern New Jersey, and I was putting something away in our shed. I turned to step out of the shed and heard a small noise. It was like a tinkle but it was an odd noise. So I looked back and lo and behold! There on the ground by the ladder was my ring! I couldn’t believe it! I must have lost it there to begin with, or maybe it was left there for me. Regardless, I had always been looking for it in the wrong place it seems, in an entirely different state in another house. I found it when I stopped looking for it and let the Universe bring it back to me, and it did! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Now, the story should stop right there but bear with me, as there is a little more that makes all this even more special.

So just recently, a couple of years later, my wife loses her wedding band, and this woman never loses anything, ever! But one night after getting our grandson back home after a visit, she realized when she got home that she did not have her ring on. Earlier she put her rings in her pocket while giving our grandson a bath, and then did not put the rings back on. Anyway, she was frantic. She could not find it anywhere and she went to bed completely bummed out, and totally disappointed in herself. I simply told her to ask the Universe to bring it back, as it had done for me with my ring. We both practice and appreciate the teachings of The Secret, and though heartbroken, she gave it to the Universe to handle. I had no doubt that she would get it back, even though we had looked everywhere for it.

The next day she just happened to say something about checking a side door in the car, just out of the blue. I had already checked all over and around the car but decided to run out to check it again since she had mentioned it that way. And again, lo and behold, the little gold ring was sitting inside the door on a small shelf that we had never even noticed before in a car that we had owned for nearly 10 years! It was sitting right there, half in the shadows of the dark interior. I sent a quick text and pic from right outside our house and said, “And just like that, God gives it back to you.” She ran to the door and just screamed as I held it up before her. I just looked up into the sky and said what I have said many times over the years for things like this, “Thank you, thank you, thank you! Thank you, God!” It took me a few years to recover my ring, and she got hers back in 24 hours. Truly, it is done unto you as The Secret preaches in so many ways… “As you believe.”
