Coming to America has been my dream since a long, long time ago, but my parents can’t afford to send me to the USA because of financial limitations. Somehow though, miracles start coming to my life!

It was 2010 when I first found out about The Secret. I was so astonished by the power our minds actually have, so I started trying to apply it. I said that I wanted to go to America but I didn’t know how. I didn’t say it everyday or tried to remember it all the time, I just let it go and believed in it.

March 2010, there is an exchange student scholarship opportunities for high schoolers. Interestingly, that program has been going on for years and our school just got the invitation at that time. I couldn’t be more excited about it and decided to give it a try.

The elimination process was tough. All applicants had to go through general knowledge tests, english tests, essay test, interviews, until national selections. In the beginning, I made a certificate stating that I got accepted as a scholar. Finally in January 2011, my dream did come true!! From 10,000 applicants all around Indonesia, 90 were chosen and one of them was me!!!

Then, my mom called that my family was planning to sell our house. Then I started using The Secret again. I stated that our house would be sold for $ 200,000. I just believed in it and let it go. I acted as if our house was sold and felt happy everyday. Guess what, the next week, my mom called and said that the house was sold for $300,000! It is even better!

Yes, I realized that my life is full of surprises when I started using The Secret. The key is to feel happy and grateful even more because you will get more of it. You know, when you believe in your dream, somehow your dream will believe in you as well. I am planning on getting a scholarship to go to college here, in the US. I can’t wait to write down my story once I get the scholarship. 🙂
