I want to share a story with you. It was February 1st when I first got the book, The Secret. Honestly, it took me a while to understand the concept, and there were many times when I wanted to give up, thinking, “This doesn’t work, it’s rubbish.” But something kept drawing me back.

I made a few requests, and my main one was to find my perfect partner. I had never had much luck with men, and at 21, I was worried if I’d ever find the right person. So, I wrote down everything I wanted in a partner; loyal, passionate, spontaneous, romantic, understanding, and someone who would be proud of me. I also wished for someone who played music as I have a thing for musicians!

Months passed, and nothing happened. I was not meeting any new guys, and I just wasn’t feeling good about it. Over time, I completely forgot about it.

Fast forward to last September. It is now early January, and I am dating the man of my dreams! He is everything I wrote down on my list and more. I am usually quite awkward around guys, but we just clicked immediately! I have never been happier, and he is honestly the best thing to happen to me in a long while. It is pretty serious between us already! Thank you, thank you, thank you!

I truly believe that he is the one for me, and I think he came along when I stopped worrying about when he would be in my life because the moment I stopped worrying about it, there he was!

So, for all the doubters out there, please don’t give up. Make your request, let it go, and it will happen before your eyes! I honestly thought for a long time that it would never happen, but my life now defies that belief!
