Thirty years ago we were about to change our whole life. We were going to leave our former life behind, our friends, family, everything familiar to us. It was like standing on the edge and taking a step to the unknown. We were unsure if we were making the right decision. My husband said we should ask for a sign. If we got the best seats to the Mozart’s opera that evening, which we knew was sold out, we’d know we were on the right path and we should proceed.

We could not phone the opera’s ticket office because it was open only half an hour before the opera started and the trip there would take hours. So with total faith we got a train to the capital city and walked through the city to the National Opera and stepped into the ticket office. When we walked in there, the lady behind the counter was on the phone and just put down the receiver. I asked if there was any tickets for the opera that evening. She had a strange look on her face. She said she just got a phone call from people who cancelled their season tickets, 3 seats in the middle floor. I gasped! We took them. When she handed us the tickets she said that these tickets must have been meant for you!

We enjoyed the opera and it was a perfect night. The seats were the best and we were on the cloud nine. So we took the next step and it was the best decision we have ever made in our lives. We are every day so grateful although we knew nothing about The Secret back then. But we had faith.
