I have been practicing and preaching the teachings of The Secret on and off, with some results here and there. Over the time I have realized that the key to it working is a simple yet powerful action of “letting go” of the “how’s”. To simply be in the moment and to keep fulfilling my duties. Now this story of what happened to me truly amazed me and reminded me of the power of The Secret and being positive.

Around 3 years back the love of my life left me for someone else. That destroyed me to say the least. I was drowned in depression and suffered from anhedonia. I was let go of from a major position within my project and was assigned to an average position. There again, because of my nervous breakdowns and not realizing it, I had major escalations and my manager had to remind me of the consequence that may follow. I was drinking and smoking heavily and cried myself to sleep.

I came across The Secret while I was going through counselling in order to get better. I read it and watched the movie and then read it 2 or 3 more times. The sadness was so abysmal that even when I tried my best, I couldn’t attain a positive mindset. I lost a great deal of muscle mass and lost around 10 kgs in matter of 3 to 4 months but then I allowed myself to heal. I cried when I wanted to and smiled when I felt better. Slowly I started to get better.

At that time I used to read every story on this website. I also made a list of qualities that I wanted in my new job. I wrote the exact salary I would draw and the exact tech park I wanted to be in. I wrote it in my journal, started living my life and started with my training. I did have setbacks in my job but I had various good moments too. Little did I realize that it all would only make me better.

One fine day I was feeling really down as my new manager asked me to leave the project in an extremely rude tone. I returned home and closed my eyes and asked the Universe for a sign. The next day I was assigned a new desk and right next to me was an old colleague who was on his notice period after resigning from the company. My eyes lit with love on knowing that it was coming. The next day I had a couple of interviews which I cleared. Not only did I get an offer from a major product based company but my salary was almost 1.5 times what I asked the Universe for. The only thing lacking was that the IT park was different from the one I had wanted but I made peace with it.

Then to my greatest delight, a new colleague at my new company told me that we would be shifting this year to a new tech park and that tech park was the exact the same park I mentioned in my journal. I had tears of happiness and at that time I realized that the Universe is looking over all of us with a smile.

Since then I have manifested my motorcycle, an awesome boss and I know love is just around the corner. I know she is out there I just have to reach her. Guys don’t give up, relax and smile. Whatever is happening is happening for the greater good. Rise and shine folks. Love you all.
