Thank you, Universe!

I was in a highly confused period of my life, when the Universe contrived to make things happen for me. I was planning to change my career and apply to colleges again. But, when I made the decision to study again, the colleges I wanted to study at had closed admissions. I planned to give myself a year and apply again when the admissions were open. But, in the meantime, I didn’t know what to do. I had to do something, of course. I wished I could go away to the hills and work with kids for a few months before coming back to the city.

I had applied to an NGO a few months ago asking if I could volunteer with them and the kids they work with, but I couldn’t join the NGO during that time. But this time the hills were calling and I knew it. I sent out good thoughts and asked the Universe to somehow let me go to the hills. I truly asked for it, thanked the Universe for granting my request, and started looking up flight tickets to the hills.

Magically, the NGO responded and accepted my volunteer application. I’m off to the hills in three weeks for five months, with all food and accommodations paid for. And moreover, I’m going to be teaching children! My dream has come true!

I’m envisioning how the experience will to be, and I can tell it’s going to be equally magical. So thank you, thank you, thank you, Universe, for this and everything else in life.
