Unexpected Transition.

CaliforniaA 54 year old woman who believes the Universe is always conspiring for my good, even though it doesn’t always seem like it!
I had a great executive position, but my position was eliminated. I was in my 50s and hadn’t had to look for a job in 22 years. I had always been recruited for new roles. It took me just about a year to find a role. The role I ended up taking was a great role doing work I loved, but the role was several levels lower and I got paid half of what I was making before. I was just grateful to have a job after stressing and struggling to find something for a year.
I ended up getting promoted after 18 months to a new role, which was okay, but not the work I loved. I took the role because it paid considerably more and it would set me up for retirement in 7 to 10 years, even though the commute was 2 hours each way. I kept my focus on being grateful and how the money was going to afford me the life I wanted in a few years. I had it all laid out on my vision board. I also journaled my gratitude and my intentions every morning. I kept stating that I was grateful for the work I love with people I liked and liked me. I used my talents to add tremendous positive value. I have a great work-life balance, do the work with ease, and make over $500,000 a year.
I had no idea how all of this was going to come to be. I would never quit my job because I had stability (or so I thought), was in line to be promoted, and had a great pension for retirement in just a few years.
Then one Monday morning, I thought I was attending a touch base meeting with my boss, but it was actually a meeting to be fired. I had shared with a co-worker that I was bullied when I was young and was called a derogatory term. Because someone was offended by the term, I was fired. Within a matter of minutes, I lost my pay, my stock, and my pension! I got no severance and was not eligible for unemployment because I was fired. I was shocked and could not believe I was back to square one!!! I was so surprised that I could barely talk for a day!
I had just refinanced my mortgage into a 15 year loan. I also just took a vacation to Italy and had all the expenses from that trip. I had even splurged for business class seats. I had no idea where or how I was going to get the money to live without liquidating retirement funds, which would come with steep penalties.
I knew that the Universe had my back and there had to be a reason for my being fired. I continued to journal every day and wrote my affirmations. I also did The Magic Practices with the 28 days activities. I only spoke positively about how I was focused on what was next and would refocus my friends that wanted to bash the company for firing me.
So many miraculous things have happened over the past three months. I realized the company didn’t pay me my vacation time, so I filed a claim to get what was owed to me. I not only got what was owed to me but the company also had to pay penalty fees and the money was in my bank account within 24 hours. Without this money, I would be scrambling to pay my mortgage!
I also had a real estate expert at the center of my vision board. I had gotten my broker’s license several years ago but never used it. I always wanted to try real estate but was not sure how to get started. Then I just happened to come across a company that was looking for agents. I met with them and they are helping me to get started. All the reasons I had for putting off doing real estate were taken care of by people on the team! It was the perfect situation. I found clients quickly and am well on my way to being a real estate expert.
I realize that real estate takes time to ramp up and get paid, so I have continued to look for a job! After only 3 months of looking, I was made an offer for my perfect job. It was exactly what I was looking for! I also was offered a package of over $500,000! Now I am not only making more than I did before, but I am also back to my previous executive level role and will make more than I would have previously, even with my pension! And the role is remote, so no commute!
I can’t believe how the Universe has provided me with just what I was asking for and the unexpected funds I needed during the transition time! Oh, I also ended up applying for unemployment despite being told no previously. I had to explain what happened and ended up winning and getting my benefits! I am so grateful!
I never would have gotten to this place without the Universe readjusting my path on my behalf! What looked to be a dismal situation is turning out to be the best thing that could have happened! Hang in there! Your rough times might be just part of the process to get you to where you need to be!
