I read The Secret and The Magic two years ago. When I was reading The Magic and doing the gratitude exercises I noticed that I started winning small amounts on the Lottery. €2 here, €4 there, barely a draw went by without a win. Somewhere along the way I let The Secret slip away to the back of my mind and the wins stopped. Then, this year I downloaded the audiobook and instantly began to feel better. My ultimate goal is to have enough money to give up work and be with my kids without the burden of debt. So, with money on my mind, I kept up the positivity, even when I had accidentally deleted the book.

A few weeks ago I was thinking about Christmas and when panic started to set in about affording it, I told myself not to worry, that money comes to me easily when I need it. That afternoon, my husband rang me at work to say there was an important letter for me in the post. I asked him to open it and there was a cheque for €1988 in it from my bank! It was compensation for an interest rate scandal that I didn’t even realise I was affected by. We joked that they could have rounded it up to €2,000. And lo and behold, a week later I got a call to say the initial calculation was wrong and they were awarding me an extra €40!!!!

This was all the proof I needed to really know that The Secret works. And I believe these small amounts are a sign to keep going. When I get ‘The Big One’, I’ll let you know. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
