I came to the USA after marriage. My husband and I decided that I needed to study further to get a job here, so I enrolled myself in a master’s program. After getting through my first semester I was looking for internships to do in the summer.

I was unable to get an interview and during this time my husband’s visa had issues. The visa issue was not resolved in a timely manner and hence he had to leave the USA and move back. I was all alone. I could not see anything positive around me and I started to get depressed.

My mother gave me ‘The Secret’ to read and said this would help me see things in a positive manner. I read the book once, twice and thrice and kept on following the steps mentioned in the book. I started to practice gratitude and manifesting the job/internship I desired. I started to visualize that I was receiving the letter for husband’s visa approval. I also started to maintain a diary of my wishes and what I wanted to do in a job and how I want to dress, my desk and my computer.

After two weeks I got a call from a company about an internship opening and they said the profile was perfect for me. I was so thrilled that this actually worked. I got the internship in a week and I was so happy and glad about. After a few days I got a call from my husband that his visa had been approved and that he will returning soon.

The teachings of The Secret have helped me to become positive and have also helped me to calm myself down. I practice the teachings of gratitude every day and also bless people who have negativity in them. This helps me to keep myself positive.

To all those people reading this story, I would like to say to hang in there. Just stay positive and believe that there is someone or something that is taking care of you and will do what is good for you. Practice the art of gratitude and see your life change for you.
