The Saturday before Halloween, my sister and I decided to throw ourselves a Halloween party, just for us. Her costume was a witch, and I dressed up as Ariana Grande.

Before my sister changed into her witch outfit, I tried it on for pure fun and joy. I got really into character and started saying things that I imagined a witch saying. I was cackling and found a mop, which was the closest thing to a broom we have, and even entertained the idea of walking around our neighborhood looking for one of our friend’s cats to complete the costume. I laughed at this picture in my head, and then let it go without consciously thinking about it again.

A few hours later, this gorgeous black and white cat turned up at our doorstep. We both stared at this beautiful soul with our jaws dropped, realizing that this was no coincidence. Not to mention that we have lived in our unit for almost two years and we have only seen cats away from our place and down the street. It was the best Halloween surprise ever!!
