I first heard of The Secret on Oprah and was immediately drawn into the message that we control our own destinies!

However the cynic in me fought with the optimist in me for quite a while but I decided that I really had nothing to lose.

So I began to visualize myself living the life of my dreams, every morning I would say thank you for all the things I hoped to achieve as though they had already happened. Almost immediately I was filled with a sense of peace and I was so happy every single day which was amazing to me because prior to my hearing The Secret I was quite partial to wallowing in self pity 🙂

At the time I had finished school and was sitting at home doing nothing for a good 2 years, I had a huge falling out with many friends and the guy that I loved chose to date my friend over me, so I had lots of self pity to wallow in.

I had been looking for schools to attend in England but was unsuccessful for over 2 years. I had a friend that was in the same situation and we use to visit each other with the sole purpose of moaning about our terrible lives but I decided enough was enough and I deserved to have an abundant life. About a month after I read and watched THE SECRET I decided to look for a college in Ireland and in one search found a place that was perfect and affordable!!!! I knew in my heart that this was the place for me so I sent off my application, managed to obtain a phone interview and GOT ACCEPTED in just six weeks!!!! I would tell myself everyday that everything was so easy and that I only attract good things into my life and it became a reality!

Now my semester starts in four weeks and I am so excited I can hardly breathe!! My bags are packed and I am ready to go 🙂

THE SECRET changed my life and I thank GOD every day that he gave me this wonderful gift!

I look forward to each day now and I look forward to many more miracles in my life!!
