Things Have A Way Of Working Out.
Submitted by: Carley M.
Alberta, CanadaI am a 28 year old with two degrees. I work at the post-secondary institution of my dreams, I am a published author, and this summer I am going to marry my best friend!
I have always used a variation of The Secret throughout my life. My mom and I always told each other: “It will work out.” My mom would always tell me: “Things work out for you, Carley, they always do.”
I use to feel bad for “Things just working out for me”. I felt like I should have to put more effort into life. However, this was the worst possible way to feel. Once I started to believe this, things became harder for me. I got into a few terrible relationships, I became very short of money, and I could not get a permanent job no matter how qualified I was. I was also “chubby”. Weight just never seemed to come off of my tummy; I believed I would always be the girl with the gut. When I was in University my mom bought The Secret and I made fun of her because the boyfriend I had at the time was a skeptic and made me feel like I should be one too.
Fast forward seven years and my life is not how I would imagine at 28. I watched The Secret late one night. I felt inspired. It was like I knew the answer all along and had forgotten it. I brought the idea of The Secret to my current boyfriend and he instantly was supportive and wanted to know more. I then went to my mom and asked to borrow the book.
I now read it all the time. I never knew why things just worked out for me, but now I do, and I don’t feel bad for it. I truly believe that visualizing and being grateful is the best way to live your life; the only way! I am very happy now. I never let myself feel bad for accomplishing my goals!
I have an abundance of money and I have written many amazing novels! I always knew I would be a writer and now I am. I live on a farm with my fiance and this summer we are going to have the perfect wedding in Newfoundland! I have a wonderful pooch, and a new one on the way in the fall! My life is perfect because that is how I visualize it.
I also have the perfect body! I told myself I would wear a bikini comfortably when we travel to Costa Rica at the end of the month, and I will because my body is perfect for a bikini! We get to travel together and we are very lucky in all of our ventures! I have such an abundance that I am able to give to my parents and my siblings. They are the most important people to me, and to be able to give to them makes me feel wonderful!
Don’t feel bad for things coming to you easily, life is not about being a martyr and working your fingers to the bone. It is about being grateful, thankful, and happy! Visualize your perfect life and live it. Don’t wait around for things to change, they won’t unless you change your mindset. Things do have a way of working out!
