First I would like to thank Rhonda and the entire team for the wondrous work you all have done by bringing us The Secret, The Power and The Magic. These books have changed my life.

I first read The Magic several months ago, and did the 28 days of exercises. Some amazing things happened, then I got busy and as often happens, left the exercises behind, thinking I did not have time to continue. Life became discouraging, and my gratitude virtually disappeared. But then I realized this was the wrong way to look at things. The gratitude should be FIRST, and then things will turn around.

Two nights ago, I had a rare night off, with no work or other obligations. I had hardly slept in several days and was exhausted, but needed to catch up on errands and housework. However, when I looked at all the stuff that needed to be done, like taking down the rest of the holiday decorations, I realized I had not written any thank-you notes to the people who had given me gifts or taken time to spend together with me at the holidays. Everything in me tried to ignore this realization, because thank-you notes take time and mental energy to write.

But a voice said, “You will never have time.” In other words, if you don’t make it a priority to show gratitude now, you will not likely “find” time to do it ever. With that, I sat down and wrote ten thank you notes to all of the people who had shown me any type of kindness recently. It felt so wonderful and energizing! After finishing the notes and packing them up to deliver the next day, I went to bed in a state of love and gratitude. It was really neat to see the people’s reactions throughout the day yesterday, when they noticed and read their notes of gratitude. Several seemed genuinely touched.

Then something amazing happened. At 5:30 yesterday, less than 24 hours after finishing the thank-you notes, a lady literally walked up to me, and said she needed some things translated (I am bilingual), and that she would like me to do the work and would pay me $3,000. The term “amazed” or even “dumbfounded” doesn’t even begin to describe how it felt to know that a truly MAGICAL thing had taken place in the invisible. The Universe apparently saw the gratitude and literally poured this money into my hands. It almost seems unreal to write this, but for anyone in doubt, GRATITUDE REALLY IS MAGICAL.
