I have recently been through a lot of changes, turmoil, and upheaval. I know I am not alone in this, especially in the current state the world is in. It is very easy to forget to be grateful in such times and to be thankful for the blessings I have been given.

Lately, I have taken to coming to The Secret website when I feel hopeful for inspiration and reassurance. This last time I was having issues with my car, my work, my family, my home, and everything was hitting me hard. I started looking up the stories on this website, searching by using keywords. I began reading the stories when I stumbled across a story that seemed familiar. To my utter surprise, it was a story I myself had written months earlier but had forgotten about! I had submitted it and checked the site daily for it back then but when it didn’t appear, I figured that it just wasn’t chosen to be published and I had let it go. I’m not even sure why it came up as it didn’t really have the keywords I searched for!

It reminded me when I needed it most that I have been very fortunate with some things in my life. Although I had problems with my family, my car, my home, and my job, I was also lucky that I actually have a family, a car, a home, and a job. So many people have a lot less.

I am working on focusing on blessings and trusting that I will be OK and looked after by the Universe as I always have been. Sometimes it’s just hard to see it when you’re in the midst of it all. Without even asking for a sign, I was given one of the best signs of all and just when I most needed it. I just needed to be awake to it.
