It was in September that I learned of a competition named – ‘The Ultimate Cricket Fan’ and it was being conducted by MoneyGram. It was for a blogger who would blog for them from Sri Lanka at the World T20. When I applied for it, I didn’t know if I’d make it because I was supposed to send in a video with my entry, which I didn’t. As the day to the final entry date came closer, I started believing that I had won. I used to visualize what I’d do in Sri Lanka and kept talking my sister through it. We would discuss all that I’d see there, all that I’d write about, all the different experiences I’d have etc. and I’d be very grateful for it. I was reading The Magic during this period. I used to give thanks for winning the competition everyday… and I did. I was one of the winners out of 2000 plus applicants from all over the world!! I was ecstatic!! Believe it or not, I left for Sri Lanka for the World Cup on the last day of
The Magic exercise!! I went to Sri Lanka, wrote about everything around the cricket, met cricketers from different countries, interviewed them, met eminent people from the industry and lived a dream!

Thank you The Magic! It has changed my life! I see happiness in the smallest of things now and I’m sure it will make all my wishes come true even in the future!
