The Three Month Stay.
While I was pursuing my Ph.D. in the Czech Republic back in 2017, I was supposed to travel to Helsinki in Finland for a three month research stay as part of a student exchange program. It was obvious that I needed enough funds to cover my expenses in this expensive country. While I was trying to figure out how I could arrange for that, my supervisor advised me to apply for the European exchange program grant, as it would support my expenses by about 50 to 60%. I was lucky to get recommended for the grant, and I was so grateful to the Universe.
But the story does not end there. The actual problem was with my accommodation expenses. I had booked for the university dorm and was given a single room for 500 Euros per month as there were no other options available to stay. I was granted only about 2,000 Euros by the grant agency for the entire three month stay. This meant I would be left with only 500 Euros for my other expenses, so I would have to use a lot of my own money which was very expensive for me. I tried looking on many sites and even enrolled myself in Facebook groups to arrange for an accommodation outside the university dorm for a lower price. I was looking for a roommate with whom I could share my rent and reduce the cost and stress of having to pay so much by myself. I tried really hard to contact people, friends, seniors, and colleagues but I had no success. I was so disappointed and finally decided to leave everything up to the Universe. I thought to myself and sent a message to the Universe. I said in my mind, “I leave it to you now, I will wait for it, otherwise, I will go for the pre-booked 500 Euro apartment.”
The day of my departure was approaching and all the other arrangements were done and I was ready to fly. Then a miracle happened just two days before my flight. A Portugal girl contacted me on Facebook from one of the groups I had joined. She told me that she was looking for a roommate and that her room cost was about 300 Euros a month. If we were to share it I would only have to pay about 150 Euros a month!
Wow! I was so delighted to read her message. I quickly replied to her and accepted her offer. She assured me of the deal and I sent her a partial initial payment and the remaining amount I paid her on arriving in Finland. Dane was her name and she was such a sweet soul. We are still in touch and I am so grateful to her and to my Universe for creating this miracle with the shortest, best, and fastest plan.
You just have to ask, believe, and receive. Ask and forget! Let it go and it will be done for you. Don’t ask “when”, as it will be done for you at the right time.
Thank you to The Secret.
