The Shoes Were Too Expensive!
Submitted by: Glenda White
Birmingham, ALI have worked all my life since my divorce and support my now 91 year old Mother, my grown daughter, my 18-year old granddaughter, and my son who is in prison for a crime committed during a relapse of drug addiction. I am blessed to have a good job. I have always believed in being positive but did not know it was how the law of attraction works until I watched "The Secret" on Netflix. Now I focus more and more of my thoughts on what I want to be happening in my life.
I support my elderly Mother and do so gladly. One day she asked me to buy her a new pair of shoes. She was in need and pointed out a pair she liked in a printed advertisement she got in her newspaper that day. I saw them and immediately knew they were too expensive for me to buy. The next day, I decided I would go to the local thrift store and find the same shoes much cheaper. While walking around the store looking at all the things, I made my way to the area of the store where they sold shoes. All along, I was telling myself, “I will leave when I pick up the shoes for Mom.” As I searched the first row of shoes, I said to myself, “The shoes must be on the next isle.”. When I made my way to that isle, there they were! The same shoes in the same color, the same maker and in her size. They were almost brand new! I could not tell they had even been worn. The price was $3.88!! I bought them and took them to my Mom who could not believe they were not new. I never felt that I was not going to find those shoes. It was a natural expectation.
Thank you Rhonda Byrne for teaching me to be more aware of my thoughts each and every day.
