The Secret to Bravery
Submitted by: Dyese H.
TNA sophomore in high school in love with life and The Secret.
Ive known about The Secret for quite some time. My mom read the book for a while and handed it off to me. I was confused by it at first, but soon I was attracting little things myself. I loved the idea.
Im a sophomore, so we have oral reports from time to time. In our class we were reciting lines from Julius Caesar. I loved a small 16 line piece by Casca. So I memorized it, but I was shy, so shy, and so I cried in front of crowds. I was terrified of reciting even though Id memorized the passage completely. But then I remembered The Secret and told myself I am brave. I am Brave. And as I told myself I was brave I felt it.
So the day of the memorization, my name was called and I walked to the front of the room, took a deep breath and said it all in a steady voice. Everyone clapped, I felt the clenching in my chest relax, and I smiled I could hardly believe it!
