After a long-term relationship of over 7 years, I found myself alone and penniless. I was in shock, not knowing that my relationship was ending. I was not prepared. A job working in security did not pay nearly enough to make the bills. I was deeply depressed, and soon lost the job. I had piles of unpaid bills. My credit was bad. I had no savings, no money at all. Even more destitute, I struggled to keep my home. My sister helped me financially. Most of my friends turned their backs on me, assuming that I would ask them for money. One friend who I had always considered a sister went so far as to flat out call me a loser, and to never ask her for help again, or anything else for that matter.

I suffered from a severe case of Lupus to add to all my despair, and felt that there was nothing left to live for. I spent endless days laying in the chair watching television, and sleeping. I did not want to do anything. I merely existed from day to day, while my life had spiraled down to the lowest depths a person can go. I thought about suicide, but knew I could not do that. I have my pug dogs, and I knew no one would take them and love them the way I do.

After nearly four years of existing like this, one day I heard about a book called “The Secret” on Oprah’s talk show. I mentioned the book to my sister, and asked her if she could get a copy. It took her a month or two, but one day she finally told me she had it, and would let me read it as soon as she finished it.

I read The Secret, and knew that this was going to change my life. It helped me realize how throughout my life, I attracted all of the bad things that had ever happened to me. Bad health, lost businesses, lousy jobs, poor relationships, inability to finish things. In nearly every part of my life, I had attracted everything that I DID NOT want! I had always assumed that I just had horrible luck, or was just plain cursed, or had bad karma from living previous bad lives. It never occurred to me that I had brought about all the failures in my life! One after another, everything I did had always resulted in failures.

I began applying the principals of The Secret. I landed a new job in a law office, and things began to improve. I still was not happy. The job stressed me out. I had been away from legal work for too many years, and I was having a difficult time remembering how to do it all.

Then one evening I was watching television, and there was a show about tattooing. I started watching it each week, and really thought it was an interesting line of work. I had always been into art, and worked as a sign painter for many years of my life. I thought I probably could do tattoo work. I saved some money, and purchased some tattoo supplies online. I gathered as much material about tattooing as I could find, educating myself. I practiced every night after work, learning how the tattoo machine worked, and about inks, stencil making, power sources, everything I could learn. I was not very good at it, but I blindly kept going, and applying the laws of attraction in my life. I wanted success, happiness, love, wealth, and I wanted it all NOW! For the first time in my life, I realized that the only thing keeping me from having all this was ME!
I continued to work at the law office, but I knew it was not the way for me.

I had a good friend, and she was out of work on disability. I knew she had money, and I had an idea. She needed a way to make an income because she could never return to her line of work. While I knew I was not ready to be a tattooist, there was another way to get into the business and learn a lot in the process. Become a supplier! I researched the tattoo supply business, and I learned that there were no tattoo suppliers in the midwest. This would give me a huge edge. I was amazed that with all the tattoo television shows, and the rising popularity, there were no suppliers nearby, and only about 20 of them in the whole country! I approached my friend, and she agreed it was a great idea.

Tattoo U Supply Company was born. We started small in her spare bedroom, and bought some inks, needles, and some bare necessities to begin, and mailed out catalogs that we made ourselves. Soon it was clear, the Secret worked! Our little enterprise was almost an instant success! I became more thankful every day, and thanked the universe and gave my gratitude every day.

Within two months, I quit my law office job. I trusted the Secret to take over and take me all the way. I never wavered in my newfound faith in the Universe, and that I was in the new moment where I had finally learned how to be happy and successful! There seemed to be no limit. Money began to magically appear as I needed it. My bills were paid. I had continued to practice tattooing, and was getting fairly good at it. Another friend lent herself to be my first “victim”, and I tattooed a rose on her shoulder. It came out decent, and next my nephew volunteered his back to me for a dragon tattoo. It was far from perfect, but looked pretty good. I was getting the feel of tattooing on real skin. I was ready.

While the supply company was thriving, we were not yet making enough money to pay ourselves. I talked to Lois, and explained to her that if we opened a tattoo studio, we would be able to get a paycheck far sooner that if we only had a supply house. We needed to expand. So once again, we took a leap of faith, letting the law of attraction work its magic. A month later, we found a location, rented it, and went about getting the new studio open. What we did not know was just how hard it would be to get licensed. The neighborhood did not want us, and we were shut down before we ever opened the door. A blow to our wallet, we got out of the lease, and nearly did not open. I knew in my heart that the universe was working to give me what I wanted. I found another spot in a county outside of the city, and in a few weeks, we settled in and opened White Tiger Tattoo Studio.

Now White Tiger is a successful Studio, and my world is right! The Secret changed everything for me, and I am a believer. I know that I will live the rest of my life by the laws of attraction, and I will never live the way I did before I found the Secret. The universe is abundant, and I thank it each and every day for my life, and success. It works every time in every way. Believe in the Secret. I always will. It saved my life, and I know it can save yours too!
