Well for starters, I learned The Secret about 2 years ago, and in these two years, my life has changed dramatically for the better.

When I first started college in Florida, I got sucked into the typical college lifestyle of staying out all night, missing classes, and partying too hard. While I was having all of this fun I knew deep inside that it wasn’t the lifestyle for me but I didn’t know how to change it. Well one day at a party, as ironic as it sounds, someone put The Secret film on the TV for what I guess was background ambiance. Well I sat down and watched the entire film as this party was happening around me. Almost as if the Universe knew that I needed to see it.

As I tuned in and listened and made it to the end of the film, I was stunned at this information that I learned and didn’t know before. I went on to watch the film by myself later on and then again and again. I even decided to read the book and then read Hero, which was great.

After experiencing all of this content from Rhonda Bryne, I began practicing gratitude for all of the abundance in my life. Along with practicing gratitude, I spent a lot of time making connections to the great things that I had in my life that I had attracted out of thin air and didn’t realize.

Once I learned The Secret in and out, I started to tell myself “I just want live a healthy lifestyle and to travel the world and make documentary films”. I should mention that I go to a film school.

Well only two weeks after I learned The Secret and started practicing gratitude every day, I really started thinking about what exactly it is that I want. One day I was just skimming along on Facebook, and I came across a post from a friend that I only knew from parties, that said “Who wants to go to South America with me?” Well this post had been up for about 45 minutes and not one person responded. So I decided to just go out on a limb and write “Me”.

Well after another two weeks, I found myself in Peru filming a documentary about orphans. I also went to Machu Picchu which was another dream come true for me. All of this came to me free of charge because the owner of the non-profit needed visuals.

Well that trip was in August of 2013. After that trip, my life changed. I knew The Secret worked and I knew how to acquire the things that I wanted through gratitude and visualization.

Well now this year, I don’t remember the last time I went to a party and I just returned last week from spending the entire month of August 2014 in Kenya, East Africa filming another short social economical documentary. Then I had the opportunity to spend the following week in Giza, Egypt visiting the pyramids that I have always wanted to see. Using gratitude, I attracted the money I needed to go on the trip through fundraising.

In just the two short years after I learned The Secret, I have used it to live out some of my wildest dreams that I never thought would be possible, before even graduating college. Now I am graduating next month with so much experience and stuff to show for myself, hopefully enough to get that job at National Geographic that I have been visualizing. 😉

I feel SO blessed to only be 21 years old and have this immensely powerful knowledge of The Secret. I am nervous and excited to see just how far this knowledge will take me in my life and to see the things I will accomplish and the places I will go in the future. How soon will I be in the shiny new BMW, how soon will I have that mansion of my dreams? Only time will tell. 🙂 I’m sure I’ll be back with more stories from practicing The Secret.
