Firstly may I humbly thank Rhonda Byrne and The Secret team for saving my life from total collapse. A week before I lost my job in Sept 2011, I saw the movie The Secret and I was so moved. I thought I going to apply The Secret teachings during the one month notice period I was given. I wrote on the back of my office door that I would want to recieve K 50,000,000.00 as my redundancy package. Before my notice period could end I was asked to leave and wait for my money at home come months end. Staying at home without a job gave me time to visualise so I made a vision board of things I wanted to have and among them, this amount of money.

Around the same time of leaving my job, I entered my drama script I had written to our national arts awards called Ngowa Awards. I am a writer and journalist, so more about that shortly.

When months end came I was so shocked when I was given K43,000,000.00 as my redundancy package, far from what the organisation had earlier suggested that I was only entitled to two months basic pay which was about K15,000,000.00.

Then I left that city and went to another city to look for a job. I got a job at a TV station so easily but the people were so negative and the pay was very low. While at the TV station I was called for interviews at the Embassy of Japan for a position of Public Relations which was one of those wishes on my vision board. I left the TV and stayed home keeping my gratitude and visualisation and watching The Secret regulary. The interview at the Embassy was in Feb and March (two stages) 2011 and in August 2011 they told me I didn’t make it. I wasn’t disappointed because by then I had sort of understood the LOA more and realised I had been so scared and so anxious about the Embassy job that it wasn’t surprising. It had shocked me too going to the second stage where only three of us had remained. So I never lost the power and all of a sudden many adverts on Public Relations and Communications started following in papers and I applied to three. One got back to me saying they will finish the screening process and then get back. I was so happy!

And guess what? The drama script I entered in 2011 is a finalist in the Best Drama Script category for this year’s Ngoma Awards. For some unexplained reason the awards didn’t take place last year. I just saw my name in the paper as a finalist and this evening Dec 19 is the awards day. I’m not a competitor but a creator. And as I write this story my ex, who left me when i lost my job calls me to congratulate me for the nomination saying her new boy friend is the one who told her about it. I thanked her. There are so many miracles that have happened to me this year due to knowing The Secret. My life has become so wonderful and happy. I have written two books relating to my experience. They are so great and I know when I publish them they’ll be hits. I can be what I WILL to be, and I will be what I WILL to be. I am whole, perfect, strong, powerful, loving, harmonious and HAPPY! Thoughts indeed become things. I am going in that Hall tonight, get my award and say, THOUGHTS BECOME THINGS!
