Mine was a love marriage. It happened on November 29, 2008. But soon things went downhill and I filed for a divorce in 2014. Then something drastic happened and I decided to leave home in 2015. I stayed alone in a rented apartment. I was still married as I could not bring myself to finish the divorce proceedings. Setting up a home from scratch with my limited income as a freelancer was tough.

It was sometime around that period when I gave my copy of The Secret an in-depth read. It has been gathering dust for quite some time now. And slowly as I read and reflected on what the words said, a secret world started opening up to me in front of my eyes. I started believing that I too have the power to change my circumstances and my life for the better and get back with the love of my life. Thus started my gratitude diary and the self training of my subconscious mind to be able to believe even before I received what I wanted.

In 2016, I moved back in with my husband and we shifted to a new and bigger rented home. He and I started working as a freelancing team with more zeal. He had left his corporate job the year before that and was already working with me on my projects. Our new life was still rough but I held onto my belief in The Secret and continued practicing what it preached. Slowly, I felt a change in my attitude and in his as well. Our finances improved and so did our health and our relationship.

Fast forward to 2022! I am sitting in a home that I can call mine and mine alone. This was a long cherished dream and I finally achieved it with some help from my hubby, of course. The home is everything I had ever dreamed of. It has adequate space, is well lit and airy, and overlooks vast expanses of green that I love looking at. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

Every morning, with my cup of tea in my hand, I sit on my couch overlooking the greens. I watch the sun rise slowly and the world starts to come alive while marveling at the beautiful changes of colors of the sky.

My relationship has strengthened with my husband and the people in my new locality often joke that we are never seen without each other for company. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
