My younger sister and her family, like so many in Ireland, left here almost four years ago for Brisbane. She “secreted” her visa, house sale and new life (even sold the house before the visa arrived!). Unlike the 1980’s when I was there, it is now easy to keep in touch via email, text and skype, although it doesn’t stop you missing them.

On one of our chats before Christmas, I told my sister that I had ordered The Secret to Teen Power for my teenage daughter and had treated myself to the Secret Daily Teachings. She was so excited and said that she had wanted it for ages but she couldn’t afford to order it to Brisbane. I then thought to myself that before her birthday came round in February, I would think of getting it for her.

My lovely books for myself and my daughter arrived… just in time for Christmas (even though the expected delivery date was Jan 11th). I am happy to say that my daughter is reading her Teen Power book and my Daily Teachings book is beside my bed and I check it every morning.

I was sad to see that the book is faulty and the pages were coming loose, so with much regret I contacted Amazon tonight to have it replaced. This is where it gets really strange. I printed out the address labels and the return documents and organised with Amazon to send a new one to me… all good. Then about a half hour later, the lovely guys at Amazon sent an email to say that I was being sent a new book, but that I was to keep the faulty one to pass on, give to charity, whichever I choose to do.

I sent my sister an email in Austrailia to tell her that I was going to send it to her for her as an early birthday present and about two hours later my mobile phone rang… she was ringing from work and was overwhelmed. Just before my email, arrived she was on The Secret site trying to buy the Daily Teachings… she had completed all the details and when she tried to purchase the site wouldn’t let her, “it just bombed out”. Due to work demands, she left it and checked her emails… and hey presto, she finds out that I’m sending it to her, a gift that is a gift from The Secret!

I am so grateful to be able to share this story with you and hope it gives you faith in the magic that is The Secret. It was a very emotional call from so far away, but I’m sure you can imagine how close we felt?
