My story sounds eerily similar to Rhonda’s story in The Secret. I am an entrepreneur who has been working on a new startup for the past four and a half years. During that period, I had had little or no income and was living off my savings and investments. Last fall, I started to have serious financial issues, and my wife and I began to plan for serious and drastic actions.

Now, I have always been a positive and optimistic thinker. I had read The Secret and The Magic a few years ago, but I had never really practiced what I read. As our financial situation became worse, things began a rapid downward spiral, and guess what? The law of attraction gave me everything I focused on: more bills and more stress.

I began searching for alternate employment, and no one would return my messages. I became angry and began questioning if my prior good fortune would ever return. We decided to sell our family home in order to pay off our debts and repay a loan I received from my sympathetic, retired father.

During one of the first agent showings of our house, we decided to kill time at a local bookstore, and I came across a copy of The Power. During the next hour, I poured over The Power, and boy, did it resonate with me! Suddenly I knew what had gone wrong, and what I needed to do. I began practicing love and gratitude, as well as the law of attraction and affirmations again. Within a few weeks, things started to turn around in amazing and wonderful ways. I also ordered The Secret Movie, and watched it with my wife. I insisted she read The Power and start to practice its key teachings.

I am very grateful to report that we sold our house with a very quick closing, along with a lease back from the buyer, which allows us to stay there while our youngest son completes his senior high school year. I also obtained a four month part-time contract job which will cover all our expenses until our house sale is finalized, and the company has expedited payments of my invoices to immediate payment to help me out.

Soon after I started working part-time, the company advised me that one of the senior executives had resigned and told me I would be the leading candidate for his job. My relationship with my family and friends has turned around completely, and I am the ‘best friend’ (her words) and favorite playmate of my 3 year old granddaughter. My housebound father and I have a better relationship than I can ever remember, and best of all, my business seems to have found the strategic investor we have been seeking for the past two years!
