The Power of the Mind

Tampa,FLI'm 24 years old, served in the armed forces for 6 years as a Military Policeman. Currently divorced and work in Federal Law Enforcement.
I joined the military at a young age, as soon as I graduated high school. A short time later I got married and the day after the marriage I had to leave on a mission for almost two years. In fact this was a big factor that put a toll on the relationship. After separating and moving to another state on my own I did nothing but work long hours to pay my rent and my bills, in other words I was living “pay check to pay check”.
I started looking for other jobs that would match my experience and would pay accordingly but it seemed like I was not going anywhere. I finally got a Federal Law Enforcement job, but still I was feeling like even though I was getting paid a lot more, I was not making any improvements with my life whatsoever. My debts were taking over me, my car was giving me trouble, my wife filed for divorce after two years of separation. And all I could myself was, “Why ME??”
One day a friend of mine told me about The Secret, he also showed me part of the video and I didn’t pay much attention to it. I was sceptical to be honest and I thought I didn’t have time for stuff like that.
A few months after that while talking to my mother I decided to ask her why she seemed so different, so peaceful and joyful. She found a guy that loves her and got married again, she got a new car. She seemed to be doing so good. And I could not explain why. Until she gave me the answer, she said…”It’s called The Secret”. And she recommended I read the book. I wasted no time and I bought the book. I was not looking forward to see things like “be an instant millionaire” or “free money, or anything like that. But I was looking for guidance to put myself “on track”.
As I started reading the book, it surprised me how, so many things that I have achieved in life had been goals that I have set and focused on, and thought as if I had already achieved them and it always worked. In reality I never noticed it because I was not so grateful for the things the Universe had given me.
I have learned a lot about The Secret. I lost my car and the same week I was able to get another one, because I focused on it, I pictured myself in it as though I had it. I was also able to manage my income better and even found out that I was overpaying taxes due to an error on my federal tax exempts.
So many things that The Secret have helped me visualize I have been able to achieve in a short time. I also met someone special that shares my same interests and has goals just like I do, because I thought I already had it, and the Universe worked based on my thinking. I am not fully done reading this amazing book yet, but one thing I am sure is that now that I know The Secret I will achieve success. This is changing my life in mysterious but amazing ways.
