The Power Of Gratitude.
Submitted by: Tyson Q
United States19 year old college student at Oglethorpe University in Atlanta, GA. I'm positive, grateful and I love who I am and the life I'm living.
First, I want to give a huge dose of gratitude to Rhonda, The Secret team and the Universe for giving me a joyful life thus far. I also want to say thank you to all the people who post their stories. I’m always inspired and I love reading them. When I first started using gratitude I immediately attracted joy into my life.
It is summertime and I have been out of school for a couple months. I read The Secret back in October 2017 in my freshman year of college. This summer was off to a boring start for I had nothing to do, no job, no plans and all my friends were working. I just watched the movie recently at the end of May 2018 and had decided to start a gratitude journal hoping it would change things. I challenged myself to write down at least three things that I am thankful for and the good that happened each day. I first started with small things such as my health, my church, and the friends I had.
It was then that all of a sudden, my one of my old friends from high school invited me for a movie night at his house. I had never been given those opportunities before. Then another friend invited me to his church, I met great people and I learned a lot that will help me going forward. Nothing but great opportunities came my way, invites to the movies, a Braves game, a bonfire, going out to eat and going to and Six Flags. Also, I received great things such as an Atlanta United T-shirt, my favorite MLS team. I signed with Central Casting so I can do background acting work and met more great people and made great relationships. I attracted more things to be thankful for just by starting a gratitude journal, which is crazy.
The Universe always has your back. To all the people reading this, start writing in a gratitude journal and watch how beautiful things come into your life including your own happiness. Thank you to the Universe, thank you Rhonda and thank you to everyone who posts a story on here. You never know when you are making an impact on someone’s life.
